Cinnamon Roll Cake

  • 2-3 tablespoons milk

Method:

1. Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.

2. Make the Cake Batter:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, and then stir in the melted butter until well combined.

3. Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl:

In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until you have a smooth, spreadable mixture.

4. Layer the batter and cinnamon swirl:

Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan. Spread the cinnamon swirl mixture evenly over the batter. Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon swirl layer and spread it out.

5. Swirl the Layers:

Use a knife or a spatula to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter, creating a marbled effect.

6. Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7. Make the cream cheese glaze:

While the cake is baking, prepare the cream cheese glaze. In a bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk to achieve a pourable consistency.

8. Cool and Glaze:

Allow the cake to cool for a bit before drizzling the cream cheese glaze over the top.

9. Serve:
